A concept brought back straight from New York city when he studied with Dom Famularo.

Now associated with Stephane Chamberland and being a member of the PDT (Private Drums Teacher) program conceived by

the Vic Firth Company, Patrick’s drum school is built in Lévis on the South side of Quebec City

The school is based on the simple principle of a wheel which turns unceasingly, i.e. “the evolution”.

Patrick is embarked him-self in a constant process of evolution. He wishes to share its passion for teaching and to transmit

its knowledge to all those who desires to learn the drums. He decided that one of his goal would be to meet the needs of

each student and to offer a first quality teaching, for the beginners as well as for the most advanced. Patrick takes

the time to inform you well on “the learning process”.

Beginners:

You’d like to learn the drums for your leisure or simply to carry out a dream. Patrick gives a simple program for those who

want to start to learn the drums, according to the interests and the musical tastes of each student.

Intermediaries:

He also offers a program of study for the intermediaries who want to be renewed with a pedagogy which brings to surpass

oneself.

Advanced:

The most advanced drummers will be able to receive a specialized education, adapted to their needs to emphasize

their competences as a drummer and as a musician.

Technology with the service of education

The school is equipped with the most recent technology which gathers the various needs for the training. All is

managed by a computer which has a flat panel display of 24 inches ACL with HD connections, there by facilitating

viewing by the students. More over, there is a camera placed in order to film the student to enable him to go

home with the lesson put on DVD.

He can then review and revise the matter. Internet is also used, it makes it possible to remain up to date on what

occurs in the world of the drums with help of websites such as youtube.com and drummerworld.com, vicfirth.com and more.

The student can also view educational DVDs of the greatest drummers on the planet.

“Play Along” CDs are integrated in the lessons to practice the exercises with songs.

Two professional drumsets Mapex and Sabian cymbals are ready to use to practice and assimilate

the discussed matter.

Two Vic Firth practice pads are also placed in front of a mirror to study various movements

and techniques.

Now the studio is equiped with a bass drums pas to developp feet technique.

Two educational posters are installed in the school to allow the study of the rudiments. One of the two

posters was created by Stephane Chamberland and Dom Famularo in collaboration with

the “Mapex Learning Advantage”.

And other by Vic firth company in collaboration with PAS.

Mapex and Vic Firth are two large companies which implied unceasingly in the educational field.

Drumset books and methods are available in studio so the student has in hand the adequate exercises according to the style studied.

The metronome is also used in the lessons in order to develop the rhythm and the beat.
